My LPO knew the previous detailer before she retired, but I was a month from my window which wasn't early enough. I've already put in for new orders, but they get shittier with every new month since I've been in my window. Japan + my ship = career killer. I know when I had a problem with my detailer, my LCPO contacted the detailer on my behalf (thank goodness he knew the man) and had worked out a plan for me to stay at my current command. I just want to finish up what time I have left in San Diego since that is where I plan on residing when I get out of the Navy.
