Just remember about the grass always being greener. Allot of the same policies that were in Japan are making their way Stateside. When I got to Hawaii I was expecting pineapple Navy but got the complete opposite. There's always going to be good points and bad points of whatever command you're at. You're going to get there and say this is jacked up and this is being done wrong or not being done. It's a cycle. And the entire Navy is shifting to the FWD deployed mentality, constant readiness is the new priority for every ship. But it's always nice to have budiies in the area from your last command...(Last ship) peeps are sticking together a bit in HI too...it's kinda funny. Good for you.
